Strong Track Record
Impressive and Effective
Acquanetta Warren will bring real Republican values back to the Assembly – demanding that government live within its means and focus on vital services like public safety, education and critical infrastructure.

Sometimes, the best policy for government is to just get out of the way and let businesses create jobs and communities solve problems.

And, it’s vital that honesty be restored – that means honest budgets without gimmicks or stealing revenue from local governments; truth in sentencing and raising ethical standards for elected officials.

Her story and life experiences make her a powerful advocate for our conservative ideals:
  • Hold the line against tax increases (even the hidden ones!)
  • Help job-creators by rolling back regulations and unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit to get the economy back on track and create needed jobs.
  • Create incentives and cost containment rules for state agencies to ensure they under-spend their budgets.
  • Improve safety by keeping criminal in prison and cracking down on criminal illegal immigrants, sex offenders and those taking advantage of the flailing economy to defraud investors or the public.
  • Reduce prison costs by allowing government agencies to contract with Department of Corrections for road clearing, clean-up and other projects.

She’s proven her commitment time and time again,
as a City Councilwoman, she has an impressive record of accomplishment:
  • Cut taxes by eliminating of the Utility Users Tax for all residents.
  • Improved management and cost controls that helped improve the city’s credit rating and save tax-dollars.
  • Implemented the  first integrated economic development strategy that helped transform the city's economy from the bottom of the economic ladder to one of the regions most dynamic.
  • Established a pro-business policy and partnered with the Chamber of Commerce to attract new businesses and to help exiting businesses grow.
  • Streamlined city departments into the division of Business Services to make it easier for businesses to work with the city.
  • Helped lead efforts for private businesses to build over 13 million square feet of industrial space - providing more than 5,000 new jobs.
  • Created an infill development policy to reduce city development fees by 50%.
  • To save money while still expanding parks & recreation programs, we created the Smart Kids program - working with the schools and the Boys and Girls Club to train over 150 Recreation Aides that have been hired to staff the Smart Kids program.
  • Created a city-wide city competitive program to enhance processing of plans through the City review system.
  • Implemented Expenditure Control Budgeting and cost containment, providing departments an incentive to under-spend their budgets.
  • Invested in technology to work smarter.  Each year, the city has  effectively operated with fewer administrative employees per resident.
  • Brought the Home Shopping Network and  American Hotel Registry  to the city, creating jobs & increasing revenue (without new taxes!).
  • Created an Economic Zone that eliminates City Fees for new commercial developments within both North and South Fontana.
  • Helped bring the city’s first Business Class hotel and laid the ground work to bring four addition hotels to the city.
  • Created a Community Foundation to support community fund raising activities without the need for taxpayer dollars.
  • Built the 93,000 square foot, Lewis Library and Technology Center without new taxes; raised  $20 million in private funds and naming rights.
  • Contracted with a private vendor for helicopter patrol services.  By privatizing the City was able to keep the needed services under budget.
  • Reduced crime city-wide by emphasizing community oriented policing and Implemented award winning School Resource Officer (SRO) Program as part of a long term strategy to reduce crime.
  • Worked with the Police Officers Association and Police Chief to add civilian, non-sworn jail operations for processing and transportation of arrestees.  During the first six months this program allowed approximately 2537 hours of officer time to be redeployed to patrol duties resulting in nearly a doubling of arrests and decreasing response times.
  • Helped neighborhoods improve their own safety by launching the Certified Emergency Response Training (CERT) as part of our Office of Emergency Services (OES).  This program implements our goal of tying Neighborhood Watch and OES together.
  • Led efforts to crack down on “adult entertainment businesses.”
  • Doubled graffiti abatement, establishing a policy to remove 80% of all graffiti within 24 hours of being reported.
  • Organized quarterly meetings with Faith Based Organizations, community pastors and church leaders, to find ways to improve the quality of life for all Fontana citizens.  The meetings have acted as an extension of our Area Commander program and allowed the city to disseminate information along with allowing attendees the opportunity to pose questions and receive answers.
  • In 2000, the City had no lighted soccer/football fields.  The city now has 13 lighted soccer/football fields with plans for more in the next few years.
  • Led efforts to create the award-winning Healthy Fontana Program – successfully improving health and reducing healthcare costs with through education and incentives rather than nanny-state mandates and regulations.
